ABOUT LISA BENEDETTO
Lisa Benedetto is a Canadian Screen Award-nominated producer and executive, currently serving as Executive in Charge of Production, Comedy at CBC. She is best known as Executive Producer on the International Emmy nominated series, Workin Moms (CBC/Netflix), and for developing bold, character-driven comedy with top-tier talent.
Prior to joining CBC, Lisa developed and produced a variety of original projects through her production company, Dr. Bruno Productions, where her project Half-Fishing received the Development and Production financing for the IPF/CMF Short Form Series Program.
At Wolf + Rabbit Entertainment, Lisa joined Workin’ Moms in its inaugural season and served as a Non-Writing Creative Executive Producer. She worked across every phase of the series - contributing in the writer’s room, leading creative execution on set, and collaborating closely with the post-team and broadcaster through post-production to delivery. She also helped build the show’s creative team, hiring department heads and key creative talent.
In addition to her work in television, Lisa has produced seven short films. Before focusing exclusively on scripted comedy, she also gained experience working as a researcher, segment and episodic producer in unscripted programming. A graduate of Concordia University, (BFA, Film Studies & English Literature), she brings creativity, curiosity and sharp storytelling instincts to every project, shaping bold, unique stories that resonate with and inspire the masses.
